Richard Stefansson of Beausejour, MB, was first elected to the FCL Board in 2023. He is one of the directors elected by District 5 which is comprised of 30 member co-ops in Manitoba. Richard has primary responsibility for 14 member co-ops.

As an FCL Director, Richard participates on the Board's Audit and Credentials Committees and is a representative to The Co-operators.

Richard served as a member of the Beausejour Co-op Board of Directors since 2013 and served as board chair from April 2021.
Richard has been active in his community coaching sports teams in Soccer, Softball, Ringette and Volleyball. He has also spent time on numerous local boards and organizations including The Pinawa Club, Beausejour Brokenhead Development Corporation, Active Transportation and the Canadian Power Toboggan Championships.

Richard and his wife Debbie have three lovely daughters and enjoy spending their summers on Lee River at the cottage. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending a warm afternoon exploring on their pontoon boat.
